Statewide Membership Drive Training

We are very happy to announce that HBAs in Florida have been selected by NAHB to participate in the Statewide Drive Training program option. The state training offers a similar commitment and curriculum as the local one, but on a larger and more collaborative scale.

As part of the program, staff from NAHB’s Federation Services team will come in-person and offer multiple trainings at sites throughout the state, touching on the following areas:

• Discovery and Orientation – HBAs will participate in an initial discovery process to identify usual membership activities (e.g., events, programs, budgets, etc.) and our current value proposition.
• Recruitment - NAHB will deliver a 4-hour onsite training before membership drives across our state kick off. Training will provide our recruiters with the tools to identify ideal prospects and talking points on how best to frame "the ask" and close the deal.
• Onboarding and Retention – We will learn about successfully-proven retention strategies during drive training to onboard and orient new members to the association.
• Membership Drive Resources – NAHB will provide ready-to-use resources to support local associations hosting a 48-hour membership drive as part of the statewide campaign.

This is a unique level of guidance and support from NAHB, making our commitment to the trainings just as important. As a state, we need to participate to the best of our ability and get the most out of this opportunity. Our drives will be fun and competitive!

Training:

The 4 hour training will cover recruitment and retention strategies, drive structure and logistics, and offer planning time. NAHB will provide all participating local EOs with a flash drive that contains a variety of resources, including lead lists as a starting point. Snacks, coffee, etc. will be provided to keep us awake and engaged!

The Membership Drive:

We will establish a two day period for the official drive and accommodate as many locals as possible when scheduling the official two day drive. 

Any new member who is recruited during your local’s two-day drive will receive a free All Access Pass to the SEBC ($129 Value). HBAs that register their fall drives qualify for double spike points. An during the Fall Membership Drive, nine builders members will win a trip to Napa.
